For whatever reason, the best competitive eaters are usually pretty thin. Like that Japanese guy that can eat a shit ton of hot dogs. Fat people can't even overeat better than fit people.

I think I read somewhere that being fit allows the stomach to expand. If you're fat, the fat blocks the stomach from expanding, and thus less space for food.

That sounds like thin privilage to me.

this is in fact the case, but it's not simply that. Being able to expand your stomach takes training, and as much as fatfucks love to eat most don't have the dedication it takes to get to the top of their game in quantity or speed when it comes to competitive eating.

Lol, thin people are really better at everything. Even eatting

You heard this on king of the hill. The fat and the Furious. Season 7 Ep 2.

I think they work out a lot on the side plus the guy you're talking about in question trains by eating a shit ton of lettuce because of the high water content.

Now with x-ray to show where the food goes in thin competitive eaters

That Japanese guy also has some disorder where is stomach is positioned lower than normal, which he claims gives him a big edge, at least if memory serves from the short documentary on him.
