For whatever reason, the best competitive eaters are usually pretty thin. Like that Japanese guy that can eat a shit ton of hot dogs. Fat people can't even overeat better than fit people.
[–] Pinkmushroomlover 0 points 25 points 25 points (+25|-0) ago
I think I read somewhere that being fit allows the stomach to expand. If you're fat, the fat blocks the stomach from expanding, and thus less space for food.
[–] SexySexySkeletor 0 points 28 points 28 points (+28|-0) ago
That sounds like thin privilage to me.
[–] BettieJosbeetusfoot 0 points 7 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago
this is in fact the case, but it's not simply that. Being able to expand your stomach takes training, and as much as fatfucks love to eat most don't have the dedication it takes to get to the top of their game in quantity or speed when it comes to competitive eating.
[–] paradox42 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
Lol, thin people are really better at everything. Even eatting
[–] piratse 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
You heard this on king of the hill. The fat and the Furious. Season 7 Ep 2.
[–] Proioxis 0 points 11 points 11 points (+11|-0) ago
I think they work out a lot on the side plus the guy you're talking about in question trains by eating a shit ton of lettuce because of the high water content.
[–] fettoHat 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
Now with x-ray to show where the food goes in thin competitive eaters
[–] omegayogatantrayana 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
That Japanese guy also has some disorder where is stomach is positioned lower than normal, which he claims gives him a big edge, at least if memory serves from the short documentary on him.

I get that its more for fun than anything but the American thing of having excess food as a "challenge" is so weird to me. It doesnt look tasty when its one of those challenge meals. Food should be enjoyed, you shouldnt feel like you're gonna shit a bowling ball after a meal.
[–] DelusionalHominids 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
Plus the thought of loading that much shit into your body is repulsive. All that cheese and greasy meat is definitely not good for you. Same goes for a lot of these competitive challenges. It's usually stuff that is bad for you, moreso when you're cramming excessive amounts of it into your face within a short period of time.
[–] eyeman 1 point -1 points 0 points (+0|-1) ago
Hey don't hate on the cheese and meat. Those fries, buns, and soda are way worse to over eat on thanks to a fat person's rejected insulin.
That being said that burger looks like it could hold a normal person over for two to three days.

Also available in Germany, restaurant Der Waldgeist has a renown for making it really, really big. I don't get it either. I can only imagine how nauseous I'd feel after finishing one half of that stuff.
[–] stupidlikeafox 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Their normal portioned food looks quite good but those massive things... you just know that so much food is going to go to waste, its just pointless
[–] Rockspecht 0 points 9 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago
That doesn't even look tasty. It's just meat and cheese stacked on top of each other.
[–] CrackingYs 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
Yeah, it looks like 6 shitty cafeteria burgers. I'll take one Five Guys burger any day.
[–] PeaceLoveAndRamen 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Damn you. I want 5 guys now and it's only 9 o clock. And I have a community service project to work on from 11 to 5 so I can't even eat lunch!
[–] Podd 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
$28 for a food challenge if you fail. Pretty cheap. Free shirt, my glorious visage on a wall next to such prominent fatties as EL Lardo, Miss Piggy, and Jabba the girl from HR. Tempting. Very tempting.
[–] 2420870? 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
That wall is not exactly a group of people I want to have things in common with.
[–] Angxrs 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
That's one of the saddest excuses for food that I have ever seen. I feel sick.
[–] Gimme_Shelter 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
The thought of eating all that ... In one sitting ... gross.
[–] Angxrs 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Nauseating
[–] Gimme_Shelter 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Totally agree.
[–] RainbowShyRarity 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Not just one sitting, but in one 30 minute sitting! Fucking disgusting!

😨

Anyone feels like estimating the amount of calories in this?
It feels like it's already more than what I should eat in the entire day....
[–] la_fupacabra 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
3,348 for the meat (if each partty is 6oz and 70% lean), 678 in cheese (if it's cheddar), 150 for the bun (highest I found), 1020 for the fries (had to guess, it looks like two large McDonald's fries to me so I went with that), 5 calories for the tomato, 5 for the lettuce= 5206 calories.
[–] Gimme_Shelter 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I haven't got a clue but my guess would be in the neighbourhood of 3500 calories.
[–] aden 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
definitely more than a day. and with that whole basket of fries? geez.
[–] RonaldRayGuns 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago (edited ago)
I love to eat insane amounts of food around fat people.
I do food challenges all the time.
No fatty has ever beaten me.
Fatties don't have the internal strength to compete with a shitlord at anything even gluttony contests.
[–] bieberhole_69 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
I'm not fat at all (see verified tag) and I could probably do that...doesn't look that hard, assuming the patties aren't super thick
[–] journalistsarelazy [S] ago
With the chips, and in half an hour too?
I'd like to think I could, but I'd fail. The info on this, was only 9 or so have done it out of 300 attempts.
