Story incoming.
While I have met many shitlords in my life, few have proved to be as outspoken as my aunt, who's ruthless shitlording I was unexpectedly witness to during her last visit.
To add some context, my aunt was born in Canada but moved to Switzerland over 20 years ago, and is now thoroughly European in her ways. She's very well read and outspoken, not to mention quite liberal, but also very conscious of civility and social cues. I chalked the latter two down to the way things are in classy, rigid Switzerland, but little did I know that the European side of her would manifest itself in other, amazing ways. See below.
During her visit I took her to a big Midway/Fair/Festival that happens once a year in my city to give us something to do, and boy, did she have a time. It was quite a busy day, and as soon as we were inside the comments started. She literally just started commenting, out loud, at how disgusting some of the fat people around us were. We were walking behind some ham planet teenage girls, within earshot, and she abruptly stated "Oh look at how fat those people are. Good God! It's just disgusting. Just look at them (Contempt filled her voice) They have no right, really, to be so fat". That last comment really struck me. But anyways, the girls turned around, gave us a dirty look, but moved on. She truly did not give a fuck if the people around us heard. More and more comments about other fat people were made as we waited in lines, and soon the commentary became non stop as we waded our way deeper into the fair grounds. She quickly realized that there were fat people everywhere you looked. There was no escape. I could see the look of contempt and disappointment curl onto her face as she gazed around, and I felt a little embarrassed to have brought her there. I realized, too, just how many fat people there were around us. It was as if being with someone unconditioned to the state of affaires here had suddenly broken me out of my home born complacency of just how fucking fat North America is. Over 2/3rds of the people around us were at least overweight, with a morbidly obese person every 30 odd seconds. Like I said, the strange thing was that until that moment, I had thought that it was just normal for things to be this way. I had become used to it all, and needed someone foreign to wake me up and remind me of how fucked up it truly is.
And then came the food. There was a large indoor auditorium area that sold food. Again, filled with many planets. All deep fried and fast food-chain type food. She refused to eat any of it. "I don't know what's worse" she said. "Sitting here with all of these people, or eating the food". The second time through the building, she refused to enter that room. And so we didn't eat there, and I convinced her to drink some of my Booster Juice instead.
The whole experience definitely made me think about how "mainstream" being fat has become, not to mention the food we eat that encourages it. Being at a Fair the demographics and food choices are a little slanted towards there being more fat people and bad food, but still. While things aren't great in Europe, most of them do NOT put up with this shit. And when they see it, they fucking say it. Can you imagine if more people were like her? What a day.

Most Europeans have suffered through some shit at some point or another, we and our families all have horror stories. That being said, the consequences of many of these things pertain to food shortages, starvation, cannibalism etc; so if there is one thing most Europeans do actually have in common (besides all having a bit of hate for one another), is an underlying hatred for fat fucks who waste resources and then call themselves oppressed like it means something.

Sweden checking in. I think there's something to this for sure. Might be lingering effects of the World Wars. We got through it VERY lightly compared to most but still had rationing and so on. Even two generations later, consuming more than your share is a bit taboo. Probably a theme throughout our war torn history.
