Right there with you. Had days where leaving the house to go to work was a real challenge because I thought I was too fat to be seen.. at BMI 18.2.. yet you've got morbidly obese people claiming they have anorexia because reality occasionally overrides their delusion and they realize how horrid and gluttonous they are. Especially irritating considering anorexia nervosa has a weight criterion, no two ways about it, and it exists in order to ensure clarity on a person's condition and treatment plan. They can't handle not getting the same validity points as someone 1/3 of their size who's actually struggling legitimately. Both people might hate themselves and want to undereat, but it's different when it's a completely reasonable way to feel given your circumstances.

Atypical anorexia being added to the dsm was a mistake

What are the characteristics of that? It can't possibly be 'anorexia without the weight loss' because that's retarded.
