Food bans have been tried in several places and worked in none. This is unsurprising because it doesn't address the problem. Soft drink doesn't make people fat. Stupid fucks and a lack of direct consequences makes them fat. You're not going to solve a problem caused by a lack of personal responsibility by removing yet more personal responsibility in the form of blaming chips for existing. You're going to get government-mandated rations from a bread line before you solve obesity by vilifying and taxing foods.

The fastest I’ve ever seen people rally against the government was when Chicago did the sugar tax. Suddenly people knew how to protest lmfao.
