That usually means they're sold out. I get that alot when buying tshirts, as the XL* size is the most often sold out.

*XL is a funny size. At human sized places, I buy XL because I'm over 6' and fairly broad. At some of the big box hambeast stores, I have to at least go with a L (which is often larger than an XL from a human-sized retailer), or even a M.

My fiance is in your boat. L is too short, xl is too wide but it has the length. Big and tall stores are literally only big AND tall apparently as well.

I feel his pain. I am six foot four with big chest and arms, and I aint got no trout shoulders either. If a store has L tall (rare) or XL tall (rarer) perfect, but so often they make the XL, XXL, etc., wider and wider so stores like that force me to go 2 or 3 XL

This is one of the lucky things about shopping for tall women's clothes, the clothes marked tall are usually only for humans
