What is most funny is that deaths as a whole are way down because people can't die at work or in car accidents. I remember a stat from the US showing March deaths were down 10,000 per week compared to previous years. So through government incompetence, thousands of deaths have been prevented accidentally. You could save more people by locking down the economy at a completely random time than you will save from the flu lockdown's intention.

I also did some math the other day showing that suicides from unemployment are likely to kill more people than the flu in my country. We still have a state that has recorded 0 deaths and there are fewer than 100 overall. I calculate that, if 3 in 100,000 of the people newly made unemployed by the government and having had their lives destroyed by bankruptcy commit suicide, more people will die of that than the flu. Considering the general suicide rate is 12 in 100,000, it's almost a certainty.

This is worth watching, especially the first 30 mins - after that, it’s q&a time.

Tell people not to panic.

Tell people they're not going to die.

Tell people it will be okay.
