Is standing in circles 1.5m apart and blindly believing that will save you from a flu that is killing at around 0.075% intelligent? Looks more like a bunch of drones who will do anything they are told and don't question why a virus would take a strong stance at 1.5m in particular.

But do you think that fat would cover it's cough or sneeze? Could it even lift it's arm to do so? I love the forced spacing, no more awkwardly maneuvering around whales that don't need to be in public anyway. It should really be increased to 10-13 ft, the known sneezing distance, but we can't have everything we want.

That's my whole point. The virus will spread further than 1.5m through a sneeze and through other methods than 1.5m proximity. You're probably more likely to pick it up from the card machine or a handrail or a trolley. I mean, the bird might be carrying a non-covid disease more deadly and no one thinks about it because there is no media hysteria.
If you're really scared of the flu, then this distancing is completely useless because the logic is that, as soon as you dip to 1.4m from someone, you've got it, and does anyone seriously believe they are maintaining >1.5m at all times? Where did 1.5m come from anyway and why are we so sure that's the threshold? It's a token measure that does little to nothing is reality. If you're really worried about getting sick, you wouldn't be in line at Wal-Mart even outside of the flu season. The fact that people are there shows they aren't really concerned about a cold and so standing like robots just makes you look dumb.

I'm trying not to be critical of people who just want to be safe. It's not a stupid attitude to take. It just doesn't make sense that we're doing this for this year's flu virus in particular. There are countless reasons you should practice distancing and good hygiene, many of which are probably more advisable than for the flu, and yet all of that is ignored for this virus specifically. It's like people have forgotten that people died before and that lots of things can kill you or make you sick. Everyone is paralysed with fear despite the numbers just not showing it to be out of the norm.

It’ll take a while for the scale of this bullshit to become apparent, but it will come out. There are already hints that deaths from pneumonia have ‘mysteriously’ shown a dramatic fall this year. Oddly, the figures for common flu have gone the same way. Covid19 is being recorded as the cause of death for just about any illness if the body tests positive.
I can’t wait to see the annual figures!

What is most funny is that deaths as a whole are way down because people can't die at work or in car accidents. I remember a stat from the US showing March deaths were down 10,000 per week compared to previous years. So through government incompetence, thousands of deaths have been prevented accidentally. You could save more people by locking down the economy at a completely random time than you will save from the flu lockdown's intention.
I also did some math the other day showing that suicides from unemployment are likely to kill more people than the flu in my country. We still have a state that has recorded 0 deaths and there are fewer than 100 overall. I calculate that, if 3 in 100,000 of the people newly made unemployed by the government and having had their lives destroyed by bankruptcy commit suicide, more people will die of that than the flu. Considering the general suicide rate is 12 in 100,000, it's almost a certainty.

I found that fishy as well! At least in the US its become apparent that since tests are taking so long to come back, some drs are writing off deaths as corona if the patient died of respiratory issues, even if it wasnt miss Rona at work....
