I stopped reading at "Avatars of various ethnicities are important, because obesity depends on culture and genetics."
No moron, obesity depends on how much crap you shovel into your face every day.

Well, that's the culture part. I know there's no role that genetics actually play (with the exception of Prader-Willi) in obesity, but culture absolutely has shit to do with it. When your culture is at McBeetus and having Thanksgiving dinner every single night of the week you're going to be a fatass unless you're disciplined. As evidenced by the number of overweight and obese people in America, not too damn many people are disciplined.
They're changing the culture to one of gluttony and excess. Of frivolity and food. That's part of what makes them such a blight.

I think the culture aspect might be right though. I live in Sweden and we don't have as many fast food options as the states, plus it's pretty expensive. A can of coke costs about 1 dollar, and the smaller drinking bottle costs about 1.5~2 dollars. And a bag of crisps (about 0.55 lbs) always costs at least 2 dollars.
