I eat modern foods all the time with absolutely no problems, and I'm quite thin. It's not the food that's at fault. It's overindulging like a fucking pig.

You're a nurse right? So you must get lots of exercise.

I get basically zero exercise and eat normally and I'm 5'7 120. Currently on the couch eating fries. It's a simple numbers game. All it takes is personal responsibility.

I've personally been very underweight as well as at the low end of a healthy range, with very little physical activity and a less than 'ideally' healthy diet. I'm definitely not bragging about some of that, but it really wasn't very hard getting and staying skinny that way.
I have become reasonably more health-conscious and attuned since then, especially with awareness of my age. I'm not expecting to achieve perfection in this area... in fact it may even be that perfection isn't realistic for all people. But being continually aware and educated in our choices, and not getting fat, ARE realistic and can take us a long way.
