There's an article making the rounds, about a British teenager who has lost his eyesight because for years he ate nothing but Pringles, white bread, and fries , and hardly anything else. His optic nerve just gave out, and now there are reports saying his hearing is going, too. That kid is an extreme case (his identity is being protected so all we know is, he's from Bristol ; we don't know if he's obese , overweight, or even "skinny fat", on that awful diet), but extrapolating from him to today's children makes me feel a cold chill run down my spine. Just WHERE will this end-? Can things get even worse than an overweight/obese level of 70%, and an "overfat" level of 90%? What will happem to those kids you describe, in another decade or two? Hell, there have already been people under 21 die from obesity complications ; not many but even one should be a wakeup call for today's parents.

How did the parents even let this happen? Like... even do the bare minimum and make him take some vitamins AT LEAST.

When we allowed large companies to dictate what we taught our kid, why would big fast food want people to know how fucking good and easy real food is to make.

I'm guessing there will be an entire generation of people who only want potatoes, nuggets, and pasta and are adverse to anything minimally processed or heavily seasoned.

It already exists. :(
