"At the start of this year when I had some blood tests done, I was genuinely terrified I'd find out that I was diabetic because I'd spent so long not taking proper care of myself. When it turned out I WASN'T diabetic I realised that the reason I thought I would be was because I believed I deserved it, that it would be the fitting punishment for the "crime" of being in a body my size. I was so sad to discover that I'd been thinking that way about my body, so this year has been a process of ACTUALLY looking after myself instead. Now I have an amazing HAES-supportive doctor"

Listen to your intuition! Ugh. How do they always get so close to the truth and then decide to double-down on their bullshit?
