My grandma passed away suddenly this past week. The funeral is in a few days. I swear to Christ, if The Fat Bridesmaid shows up, I'm going to murder her and my sister.

My grandpa passed recently too. His was not exactly sudden, though. Everything should be fine as long as no one fats too hard. Ours went smoothly because everyone made an effort. No one would judge you for murdering a ham anyway so you have that.

Cars, murder is a wee bit more difficult to explain away in the eyes of the law. Unless of course, you live in Texas. If that's the case, the "needs killing" statute can be invoked. Just to play it safe, ferret might be wise to seek a slightly more moderate outcome. Maiming is far more civilized. And it doesn't create that awkward second funeral.

Sorry for your loss, Cars. Although my grandma was 86 and had a few chronic health conditions, it's not like she was sick or in hospital, so the news came as a shock. I was caught completely off guard when my mom called to tell me... I honestly thought she called to tell me she had to put the family dog down (who has been sick the last month or so).
I also have a sneaking suspicion that my obeast uncle is gonna try to stir shit up when it comes time to settle the estate. I'll be sure to make an angry, belligerent post if that's the case.

I'm sorry for your loss, too, [also] my friend. Please take some {{{{{{hug}}}}}} for yourself as well.

I'm so sorry. I'm terrible with words of consolation, but you're in my thoughts.

theepilepticferret, that's a hard loss and I'm so sorry you're living it.
Emotions can really get out of whack when a loved one dies. Even when it's the natural order and the person has lived a long life, it still sends us reeling. Be good to yourself.
And the fat bridesmaid sounds like an excellent outlet for anger, sadness, frustration. Any and all. Push the limits, knowing you can always fall back.on grief to excuse any unfortunate incidents or behavior. Not sure how well it will play in court but it should suffice with friends and family.
I'm in no way making light of your loss. Just wanted to see if I could make you smile. Even for a minute.
I've never hugged a ferret. But I'd give you a big hug right now if I could.
