Why not limit their food. If you need foodstamps you cannot buy soda or chips. You cannot buy sugary drinks you are limited to produce and healthy food.

I think that's how WIC works, but maybe it's only for children / mothers.

Yeah with WIC, you are required to only use it on WIC approved items, which always tend to be raw items (fruit, vegetables, milk, raw meat, etc). Basically you get a "coupon" and it says this is what you get for this one coupon, you then select what is available, then get it.
But yeah it's typically for women with newborns. Whereas for foodstamps it is anything "food" related, including pre-made bullshit.

Yeah, families on WIC are limited to a particular allowance of groceries. Basically it's all basics, whole wheat tortillas, beans, produce and whatnot from my experience. And to keep getting it you go to mandatory monthly nutritional classes and evaluations. EBT should be just like that.
