Sorry, all I heard was "blah, blah, blah, I'm pissed I'm not hot"

I'm old enough to remember the Charlie Brown cartoons. Whenever the teacher spoke it would be that unintelligible blah blah.

That is actually true. The repulsion towards fat is because obesity triggers a disease antipathy in our brains. Evolution has taught us that this person is clearly sick and that we should avoid them for our own health and discourage it for the good of the tribe. I mean, obesity is at the point now where it almost does have everyone. The thin are a tiny minority.

This is entirely true.

I have fun mocking the obeasts. But on a deeper level it really is evolutionary to avoid them.

I was going to make the same comment.

The fierce way in which we fat shame indicates a collective panic,

Right, the obesity epidemic is everywhere, taxing our health care system, our transportation system, and threatening our general, collective sanity.

fear of our human shadow;

Right again, I sure as hell don't want to be fat, and it begins to be worrisome when nearly everyone around me is - is there something in the water or what?!

it's a strategy of war to say we must fix this issue urgently, before it gets us all,

Still right, we absolutely need a war on obesity, because we seem to be losing a lot of battles here...

and the only way to make sure we're safe from it is to destroy everything that represents it.

And finally, right as well, although I think I'm interpreting this last part differently than the poster - she's trying to make it about them physically, and although they are repulsive, it's actually their attitudes that must be destroyed. Once they understand and accept the realities of CICO, portion control, and willpower, the physical issues will take care of themselves.

It's amazing to see them get so close to the point and then miss it completely. It's like that meme from Spongebob with Patrick arguing. They agree with every point, but when it comes to drawing conclusions, they get it wrong.

Controlling the hungry feminine. Yeah sure. That has been a disgusting image throughout history. The whole bullshit about fat being attractive in the dark ages is bullshit anyways. That was more about surviving childbirth, and even then, it was about chunky females, not immobile eatbeasts. And you can bet your fat ass that the king might impregnate the chunky queen but banged the slim handmaidens for actual fun and enjoyment.

Or maybe it's a collective panic from fat fucks too lazy to get up off their ass and too weak to quit eating so much, scared as hell someone will call them out on the truth and they'll have to burn calories by REEEEEEEing again.

I mean... yeah tho? We DO have to fix this problem urgently and it IS getting us all and we ARE concerned about that.

Why is this framed as shocking or wrong? May as well write the sky is blue and rocks are hard and how that's oppressing you too.

Anyone else angry that "fierce" is yet another word these lard buckets have claimed as their own?

Brave and slay are the other two that popped into my head.
