Yeah - not subbed here, and I enjoy the odd fph post from time to time on /all, but I thought you folks were supposed to be shitlording, not shitposting

Eh, not really. Back on Reddit's FPH the mods made a stickied shitpost every week!

But it confined shitposting to one stickied post. Generally speaking.

What I enjoyed the most was the screencaps of the fatties having a technical discussion about health

And tinder screencaps, oh boy I don't even have enough popcorn

My favourite contributions are the photos of fatties waddling their way around supermarkets, shops and eateries and stocking up on Beetus food. Takes conviction and quick wittedness from the shitlord photographer.

I love me some Fit to Fats. I just like to see the downfall of a once lovely human being due to their poor choices. It's like the ultimate karma. Sometimes it's depressing but it sends a powerful message about not letting ourselves go.

I'll keep an eye out for the more distasteful ones and the ones making the same point over and over again (eg: "dear lurking fatties, we hate you, go exercise hurr durr durr.")

Just a quick question. When we click on the report spam button, does it report to the mods? Because that was one thing that worked on the other site which we could report shitposts to mods.

I don't think so. If it does, it would go to the main mod. I think that goes to Voat admins though.

FPH doesnt care about downvotes so let's all talk about the downvotes constantly. Seems legit.

I downvote the shit out of those posts. They fucking annoy me. I want discussions, not "hur dur your down votes are useless"!

I also think these posts are pointless, personally I don't care about the downvotes either. Voat works with upvoats and downvoates, soon enough the good people who run Voat will come up with a way of combating them if anyone is mass downvoaring a subverse... till then, just carry on I say.

The posts will likely start to go away soon. People are probably trying to entice the fatties into commenting. We just got back to v/all, so it's just a slight adjustment period.

Not likely. When FPH became popular on reddit, these posts were everywhere all the time. When FPH moved to voat and the initial shock wore off, here come these posts. They are vile and the bain of FPH's existence; they make us all look bad.

I guess I just always ignored those posts :/ I remember a few happening. We could tag in some mods and see what they think of it, I suppose.

It's like /v/fatpeoplehate is picking up right where /r/fatpeoplehate left off, and it isn't a good thing.

I thought the point was to stoically shitlord knowing we are in the right, not actively engaging with fatty boom booms and getting into cross sub disputes. I believe all the dramatic BS with SRS, SRD, OMC, and finally Imgur got FPH the wrong sort of attention that ultimately led to it's closure.

I actually got accused of being a fatty for sharing this sort of opinion. I'm not, I am however concerned with the long term survival of this community.

We don't NEED to draw attention to ourselves or engage with the naysayers because we aren't running a feel good camp, we walk with our single chin raised high down the path of righteous shitlordery.

Good post, great points. Honest question though-why don't you get verified? I was skeptical of putting pics of myself on the internet (seriously, I don't even have a Facebook profile pic), but someone asked me why I don't get verified on Reddit's site about a year ago, and I thought "well, why not?" I sent it in then, as I did as soon as Voat opened up. It lends credibility to whatever you post here (if internet points matter at all to you), and I honestly do feel that this site helps those who thrive on criticism get healthier. Maybe you can think of me the same way I thought of the person who gave me that little push to get verified? And this post goes to ALL the unverified users; I'm not immediately suspicious about the unverifieds, but it does seem odd that so many people aren't and weren't on Reddit. I also do know that verification is down for the time being.

I tried getting verified on FPH, and my luck it was just prior to that leelem0n death hoax, I don't know if the mod team got overwhelmed or shuffled about, but I never heard anything back. I wrote poop sharpie and everything. I'll give it a shot here. I'm sure it'll actually happen now in a smaller community.

I was verified on Reddit (and then shadowbanned, hurr-durr). When we moved here there was a lot of confusion and chaos (voat was shitting itself and we had like 3 other places to post on), and I wanted to put it off until things settled down. Now that it seems like things HAVE stabilized, verification is down.

Ah well. Flair will be mine someday.

The point of voat is to avoid banning at all costs. That said, perhaps the downvotes many threads are getting is because people are too tired of seeing the same posts instead of just hamplanets with hurt fee fees.
