I'm pretty sure high rep/low weight still requires there to be some actual weight though, odd that you had to push for as little as 5kg.

What is this thing actually like then, I've never heard of this sort of set training,. Is it actually usefull, or is it the sort of things people who want to seem like they are into fitness do?

short answer: they do kinda sell it to fat women who want an easy fix. yes. so i wouldnt like go and say "yes! this is totally what i recommend".

long answer: i saw this in an add online on one of those discount pages (you buy this cupon and get x service with 80% off!). i said why the hell not.

the add was worded and targeted towards middle aged women. i had several injuries (cracked spine and shoulder dislocations) and am atm waiting for my 2nd shoulder surgery. since you are on a bed for the exercise part this helps lower chances of injury.

the bed is something like a torture chamber or a very weird coffin. there are 4 straps coming out of it (with a string). google old pilates beds something like that. there is a plastic cover so they can pump hot air inside. the temp is 37c (sorry... i ll google the farenheit). temperature of the human body. and believe me, i know!! wtf?! such bullshit, right?! BUT the heat actually helps speed up your warmup.

now. you do your normal bodyweight exercise but with straps attached that provide extra resistance.

i do 3x 30 reps and i can very much see my results and i feel my stamina improved. i ve been into various types of exercise for the past 10 years and i honestly prefer this to the crossfit thingy i tried but it still isnt better than my step aerobics.

my fitness band puts it into moderate exercise category with my heart beatat an average of about 105 but i do hit all categories depending on the exercise. i made them add a rowing machine motion cause of my back injury. it hits all body parts.

anyway...im not english so sorry i needed so many words.
