I have never understood why people want/get piercings where the exposed stud or whatever looks like a pimple. Like piercings with the stud right under the lip, in the center? Those always look like zits. This fatty's piercing looks like a zit.
Why?

That's a labret, and I totally agree. There has to be something to be pierced in/around, like a nostril hoop or conch stud, rather than just plopped in the middle of some skin (especially a giant moon face like that) to be anywhere near nice looking. I think those are more for the perceived "cool/edgy" factor, because they're less pretty/popular than, say, nostril or septum. My two cents.

That's because their faces are so fat, there really isn't any reference point for the piercer. Generally, if a human is getting pierced, there are generally guidelines for how to place the jewelry to make for something that draws attention to the right places, or at least is inoffensive. I was discussing this when I got my monroe piercing (which is essentially an upper lip piercing off to one side). Done right, they sit just off of the dimple/crease between your lip and cheek when you smile, and the placement mimics a beauty mark on a woman, and they can actually look okay. A friend of mine who pierces told me straight up that fats can have so much fat on their faces, you can't get a good read on where the natural creases/indents are and it's actually really hard to pierce them in a way that doesn't leave them looking like they don't just have zits or something. On a human, a little sparkle on your face can be okay, but on fats? Never.
(There is additional reason to not like those ones right under the lip - because the back sits right in the gumline, they often cause gum or tooth damage. That's why I never went that way. My own lip piercing is far enough out of the way where gum damage is highly unlikely)
