I used online dating sites since their inception. It was pretty amazing some of the beautiful women I met online through these portals. But I would say since the adoption of smartphones the quality continues to slide. Up to about 2 years ago I was still trying but like yourself all I was seeing in my feeds were overweight barges claiming they were athletes, single mothers with way too many children for their age, druggies, thots, the clinically insane or trannies. It was /fatpeoplehate that encouraged me to give up on apps or sites.

This is coming from a veteran of 15+ years of being on dating sites (So long that I was asked to mod the 2 largest sites) give up now and save yourself the frustration. Real life is better for many reasons and this day and age too much of the lowest denominators have access to technology. It will never get better.

I hate to nitpick but if you’be been dating tons of people for 15+ years, then you qualify as a thot as well. That’s a lot of time to not find someone to settle down with. You do you though, LTRs definitely aren’t for everyone

I definitely agree with your point as I always pictured myself as the independent bachelor type. I am one who travels a lot and moving from city to city I don't feel like settling down in certain instances. Although I have had several serious relationships during that 15 year period. It's not like I was online scouting for someone everyday, I approach dating sites much like social media sites where your profile is always present. Instead of rebuilding it every time I want to start dating I just leave it in limbo until I am ready to date again. Out of 15 years with an active profile I probably used those sites no more than 6 months.
