When I was just looking at the thumbnail, I was hoping it would be a gif of a treadmill running opposite the door, so fatties were perpetually stuck walking to McDonald's.

I don't believe in legally mandating things like this because my tax dollars should not be wasted protecting people from themselves. As an alternative, here is what I propose:

Allow insurance companies to deny/stop coverage for anyone who becomes obese. In countries with socialized medicine, hospitals should outright refuse to treat obese patients. If you don't care about your health, we can't be expected to pay for it.

Secondly, there should be no form of welfare money period. You should get vouchers for an approved 2000 calorie a day diet. Eat it all in one day? Starve for two weeks or go get a fucking job

I really like this idea. You wanna spend it all on candy bars? Go ahead. But you'll get less food than if you spent it all on salad. I think the hams would learn really fast.

They'd just take other peoples' food and/or vouchers.

I'm not convinced they would learn. Obviously most of them are none too bright or they would understand calories in vs. calories out and not be lardasses.

I like this but how about instead of dollars they are set for individual items:

1 bag of frozen veggies, per day, per person

1 can of tuna, per day, per person

1 box pasta, every 4th day, per person...

No they wouldn't. They would cry "nanny state", "oppression", and somehow shoehorn in "patriarchy".

Then spineless politicians would fold before it ever got enacted.

Look at the recent calls for 'sugary drink taxes' for a fantastic example of how this stuff is just a giant clusterfuck and only goes to benefit whoever paid the most bribes. Your tax money goes to subsidize corn (makes high fructose corn syrup and those drinks cheaper), then they want to tax you again for buying those drinks.

To test for it and vaccinate against it/test for it in utero so parents can make an informed choice about whether to bring a fat parasite baby to term or not.

Hah, then they'd be able to smell what they're missing, all that greasy fried hell they can't reach. Half of them would have a stroke right there.

No, they would stick their heads in the door and shout at the cashiers "gimmie uh 2 triple heart attacks on a bun, a bucket of fries and an extra super large diet beetus juice, cus I'm on a diet teehee"

This was the first thing to come to my mind too, but maybe that's the point? The door can still be opened somewhat, but a hamplanet has no hope of ever fitting through, while human beings could still pass.

Sounds great to me!

Possibly but would still be a pain in the ass for normal folks and would discourage customers. Not to mention the the fact that it's a fire hazard

I had assumed the limitation was supposed to be the stiles, but you do have a point if they were supposed to limit the door, I could manage that gap from the right. Although I think that may accidentally shitlord some of the body builder level folks.

Thin people could stand outside and fat people would pay them to go in and get burgers like teenagers who get people to buy alcohol for them. For a small fee of course.....

it would still be an inconvenience though and would adequately shame them

I actually saw these outside of a grocery store once. I'm pretty sure they were intended to prevent shopping cart thefts, but they have the added benefit (or I suppose curse from the store's perspective) of keeping blubber lords out.

We have these in the UK but they're mainly "anti-accident" posts to prevent cars from hitting the store. The fat fucks unfortunately still fit between the posts but I think they should reduce the distance between them and block the landwhales too!

Also, most UK supermarkets have a device inside the trolley (cart?) that stops you taking it past a certain line (usually the edge of the car park). If you try to go further then the wheels are locked, rendering it useless and preventing theft.

We (the UK and US) should fit tightly spaced anti-fat posts to all supermarkets to prevent fatties entering until they're skinny enough to fit between them! Then we should utilise the wheel lockers on the scooty puffs!

If we both used the wheel locking mechanism on their beetus carts so that the wheels lock at the exit and prevent fatties driving them to their car then there wouldn't be fatties abandoning them and they'd maybe think twice about what they buy so they have less to carry!

Genuinely disabled or elderly folks could be offered assistance to get everything back to their car so they wouldn't suffer.

The locking wheels plus the fat blocking poles at the entrance would be awesome! If you want to get your food back to your car you have to fit between the posts and be capable of walking across the car park!!

In the UK we don't tend to provide scooty puffs for fatties in shops the way the US does. Usually you'll find one or maybe two scooters available, plus one or two manual chairs, and you have to ask if you want to use them.

As a result I've only really seen elderly or genuinely disabled people use the scooters as a result.

If the fatties want their food they are forced to waddle around, complaining about how tired they are!

It won't be long before they start demanding beetusmobiles like the US has though.

A mix of metal poles blocking their path plus forcing the fatty-tanks to stop at the exit would be hilarious!

Maybe a set of stairs to get to the place? I mean that'd be troubling in a fire too I guess.

Nah, just put a weigh station outside like they do for truckers on the interstate.
