It's ridiculous, 6'1" 163lbs (185cm/74kg) here, ordered some stuff in M, ended up taking it back and getting XS.
An increasingly large number of my clothes are XS. Most t-shirts are S. People don't believe me until they see the labels.
Worst part is many shops seem to only buy a few things in the smallest sizes. I go to walmart and I see a nice plain t-shirt, except they have like 10 x XXL , 20 x XL , 10 X L, 10 x M, 0-1 x S.
Literally have to order most things in if you want them in S.

Wow that’s pathetic. I remember back in the early 2000s, with a weight of 137 and a height of 5’6” (because middle school y’all) that was considered a size M.
I can’t believe it’s now XXS.

I'm sorry & I feel your pain...All the dressy or work-type coats and jackets I have right now are vintage (1980s and before) from Ebay, I have found some nice classic pre-vanity sizing pieces there? Fats that bitch about paying more for their enormous tarps never mention that skinny/short people have to pay through the nose to have things altered or custom-tailored ALL THE TIME...

You are very right, we often have to resort to shopping online. I also have lucked out with jackets and jeans on ebay, and on Poshmark
