Yeah I noticed that. Almost all healthcare ads are about weight loss. Why can't they simply just eat less in the first place? We're advertising prescription meds to obeasts because they won't stop cramming their mouths for 2 seconds. This is a sad state of society we live in.

I read an article, it was a legit source and I really wish now that I had saved it. The gist of it is that doctors no longer consider morbid obesity (especially class III) to be curable and generally won't bother trying to get the patient to go on a diet or anything. They'll recommend medications and whatever else to keep the health conditions that come with the obesity at bay, try to work with the patient to stop them from gaining more, and maybe suggest surgery if the patient's life is in immediate danger.

My jaw dropped when I read that. What that means is if some death fat goes to get a check up or needs a physical or a wellness check or whatever have you that the doctor will default to putting them on blood pressure meds rather than saying: "Drop some weight and your heart will thank you! Seriously, lose weight before you end up needing to be medicated." They just skip right to the medication.

Which apparently is exactly what the fats want, anyway! This is one of the core reasons why I'm in FPH to begin with. It's fucking outrageous.
