Some years ago now, I took my sd and a friend to see Princess Diaries 2 at the theater. There's a bit in it where Julie sings, and I legit started crying. (Remember, she lost her voice or whatever? It wasn't "real" singing, the kind she used to be able to do, but just that little bit set me off.) Sniffling like a damn baby in the movie theater, lol.

From 2000 onwards, Steven M. Zeitels, director of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation, operated on her four times and while able to improve her speaking voice, was unable to restore her singing.

Absolutely heartbreaking. She had such a beautiful voice
