Drag originated from gay male culture and it's inherently sexual. If kids want to play dress up and paint their faces that's fine, but getting them involved in a subculture full of adult men and thinking an artist name "Lactatia" is all fine and fun for an 8-year-old boy is just.... twisted.

Exactly. Regardless of whether or not you consider drag a legitimate kind of performance... This would be like if a 9 year old girl was doing burlesque.

Thank you!! I can see the artistry in drag and I've been quite impressed by the actual performances (lip sync, choreography, stand up etc) but you can't deny the look is sexual (and imo quite misogynistic). This kid would be better off in a theatre group, but I guess the mum wouldn't get into a buzzfeed video then, so fuck the kid right? Hell, he's practically doing a pageant.

I love drag and have been called a shameless fag hag (SHOCKING) but I agree: it's like when Instaham moombies think it's cute to have their grade school-age daughters grinding on the stripper pole.
