It just waddled down to the next store and bought it plus another because you triggered it.

I always take solace knowing that by simply existing you are shitlording.

I like the story, but I'm a little confused. Why does your bookstore sell candy?

It's a legit business practice. People in this country are so damn addicted to sugar and corn syrup that just putting a small selection of candy, snacks, and soda near the registers can net your business a tidy extra profit. They're literally called "impulse buys", and because fats have no impulse control they snatch them up even if they hadn't intended on buying them before getting to the register.

Gyms being the most egregious example, and not just Planet Fatass.

I've actually never been to a book store that DOESN'T sell candy. But I live in Hamerica.

That's ridiculous. I haven't been out to a bookstore in America (the ONE discount used book store just sells books, so I guess that counts, but I have yet to see a B&N), but you'd never see that sort of stuff in Russia. Like, if I want candy, I'll go to a candy shop.

As a Cali resident I second this.

only the used bookstores, at least when they were around. any chain store is going to want maximum profit out of it's addicted consumers

I've been independent ones that don't. Some are combined with little cafes that sell baked goods if that counts

Even in Canada any chain book store sells candy. Smaller ones may or may not, and if they do it's usually novelty or book/nerd related.

The stands around cash registers owe as much to the obesity epidemic as fast food restaurants lol. I always see fatties grabbing a soda a snack and candy. In their heads, they didn't mean to buy it, it wasn't part of the main shopping trip, and they didn't even bring it home. Therefore: it doesn't count.

Also best passive shitlord: walking to the corner store, make sure to drop an 'oh I walked' at some point so you can focus the fatty rage on yourself for a few glorious moments

You would think that, when it takes so little to shame them into self-awareness, they wouldn't be so fat. There are reminders that you are disgustingly obese constantly so how does none of it sink-in? It goes to show how short their attention span is that they can be shamed into leaving the chocolates here and then buy more chocolates probably 5 minutes later as if nothing happened.

That's depressingly true, I guess my first impression of what happened was too optimistic.

Fats like to say they dont eat that much.. i think this fat was trying to hide its food from u, not stop it from eating. Fats will go incredible lengths to hide their massive food consumption. I work at mcdonalds, and nothing stops a fat from getting their mcdonalds, no matter how much i shitlord.

She wasn't buying a book! When she put something back in the shelf I thought at first it was a book, but she had only a celebrative card in hands, maybe birthday card?

Anyway, I guess reading takes too much effort, fats aren't familiar with that feeling.
