Yes. I can at least have some respect for someone honestly trashy enough to think "Destiny" or "Diamond" or "Candy" (or "Neveah," lol) is a good, pretty name for a child. They're just trash being trash, they can't help it. But the suburban trash with their Jaeydins and Kaydnns and Schylurs and Taihlures make me want to punch them. You can't stop attention-whoring long enough to give your kids a name like humans have, that will enable them to get through life without having to constantly spell, re-spell, and correct people? You are the absolute worst sort of trash.
(I swear I am not making this up: years ago in a Babycenter group for Pagan moms, a woman posted (badly; she was barely literate, one of those women who talks about being "pregnate" all the time) about her son's name. We were talking about naming kids after various gods/esses/mythological characters, and she started talking about her favorite that she named her son after, and how awesome it is that there's a constellation named after him and she always points it out to her son so as he grows up he'll be proud of it. She was talking about Orion. She'd named her son after Orion. But, being a moron barely capable of communicating in written English, and being too lazy to look it up, she'd given her son a spelling she obviously thought was correct but was not actually correct in any way, shape or form.
She'd named her son "Aryan."
Get it? Uh-ryan; A-ryan. Aryan.
No one corrected her; the damage was done (the kid was at least two, if memory serves) and no one wanted to either deal with her potential abuse or, in my case, then have to explain to her what "aryan" means and why it's not a good idea to name your child that. Plus, if she's so fucking dumb that she claims to love the Great Hunter enough to name her son after him but doesn't even know how to spell his name, she kind of deserves the ridicule she'll get (her poor kid doesn't, of course, but oh well.
I cannot imagine how you must have suffered, with the names people use to abuse their children these days.

LOL oh my gosh that's pure gold. Babycenter was a treasure trove of mombies. I left after a while because they were not only deeply intolerant toward those of us with more conservative values, or moms who didn't have a specific "parenting style", but they were also absolutely fucking impossible to talk to. Everything you said had to be gently worded and cloaked in caveats because some sensitive snowflake or other was bound to be offended and then start a fight. I remember talking in one thread about how I loved nursing my son because it was so nice to be able to cuddle him and rub his fluffy little head and look into his eyes, and some idiot bitch started whining about how I obviously don't think that you can do that if you formula feed and what a judgmental cow I am for saying such a terrible thing and blah blah blah. Kill me. I hate that this is so common on women's forums...so often you just can't talk to other women because things get taken the wrong way and everyone gets so emotional and offended, and then instead of actually fucking discussing the issue you have to take a few hours to soothe everyone's feelings and explain your point to the death and apologize for living. I hate it. The more leftist the women's forum, the worse this problem gets.

ITA, 100%. Online forums for women/heavily peopled with women tend to suck, especially leftist ones. (If you ever want to see those leftist "sisters" who 'support all women" turn on you, tell them you regret an abortion. Doesn't matter if you've been a regular member for years, with dozens of long PM conversations and in-jokes with numerous people; they will screech at you, call you a troll, call you a liar, imply or outright accuse you of being secretly a man...it's horrifying.) And I hear you on the couching-everything-in-gentle-caveats, too. Irritating as fuck. I once made the mistake of describing a wedding I'd been to once where the bride and groom were both virgins, and how sweet it was to see how excited they were for their wedding night. I got accused of "shaming" women who didn't "save themselves." Uh...I didn't save myself, either, and was in no way trying to imply that everyone should, I was just describing something really touching I saw once, sheesh, bitches, calm the fuck down. Not everything is about your lame asses. But heaven forbid that you get offended by something, especially if you're more conservative; they don't give a fuck about your feelings. It makes me sick, how shitty, emotional, and stupid most women are.
The only places I've found where women can speak our minds without fear (aside from here) are conservative forums or, surprisingly, most radfem forums; radfems tend to be genuine when they talk about sisterhood, and conservatives (both men and women) tend to be respectful and actually listen and pay attention.

I imagine that kid eventually either took the easy route and told everybody to call him "Ryan", or just got so tired of having to convince people that he wasn't a fan of Hitler that he shaved his head and joined a local neo-Nazi group just so they'd stop making jokes about it.

Oh man BABYCENTER! That place is a goldmine of sub-functional parenting! Haven't checked it out in a while so must pay it a visit soon 😊
Edit: am on my phone now so can't address the rest of your observations the way they deserve so I'll just say AFREAKINGMEN! And about my short-lived teaching career oh yes, that's just a minor reason why I hoped out of it, sigh.
