Stretch marks are not beautiful and they don't need to be.

Building muscle can create stretchmarks.

It can, and I have stretch marks from a growth spurt at 14, but they’re still unsightly and I wish they weren’t there. Same thing with a mole that I have- it’s not there because of anything I did wrong, but I don’t like how it looks and it’s not something I find attractive

Yes, I have stretch marks on the inside of my right bicep. I have never once posted a status on social media of me holding a sign by my stretch marks calling them beautiful.

I am so furious with fats and their stretchmarks, they're making me ashamed of something I've never been ashamed of before.

I grew A LOT in a matter of months (and reached my final height at the age of 11). Of course this left me with stretchmarks on my thighs and knees. They're faded and light and have genuinely never bothered me. UNTIL FATS STARTED PARADING THEIR BLAZING RED RIPPED SKIN. Now people will look at me and think I was fat! I even had a doctor ask me once how much had been my highest ever weigh because of them. (Bitch plz, it was 58 kg at 166 cm of height.)

I have them too. My skin didn't take to pregnancy well. It happens. My BMI is 19.5 so I'm not worried about anyone's opinions of my body. I'm also not calling myself a fucking martyr and forcing anyone to observe my stretch marks. It's natural. I also don't post pictures of my bowel movements on IG. Those are also natural and we can assume everyone has them.

Cannot agree more! The «tiger stipes» thing just feel forced. I know that going through a pregnancy is tough, but those martyrs only make it seem worse when they give themselves «merit badges» like that

I know the feeling. I have them because during chemo I gained about 70lbs+ of legit water weight. Press on my skin water would seep out and my lungs filled with water aswell.

Wow, that sounds like some kinda curse from Poseidon or something. Hope you're doing better now.

I have actually large breasts (not just pure fat bags), and they "developed" pretty much overnight. This left stretch marks radiating out from each areola, all the way around. It happened when I was 12. I suffered in silence, feeling like I'd never be able to show them to anyone. Luckily they became not very noticable within a couple of years, but they're still there, I'm at peace with them, and I did not have to post pictures of them all over social media to accomplish that.

Was hoping the eyebleach was going to be kitties or puppies. Am not disappointed.

Why do I come here while I'm eating. God damn it. Where's the eye bleach?

I don't really care about some stretch marks. I got some from puberty and some from pregnancy. But to get them from eating too much is stupid. On a normal size person, they aren't usually terrible/horrific. But some of the fatty stretch marks I've seen pictures of will give you nightmares.

I have stretch marks everywhere from taking very high doses of prednisone as a child. :( They are so old that at least they are semi-invisible, though. Feelsbadman.jpg

Can surgery fix these if one was a former fat?

They're scar tissue, so not much is going to fix them.

Apparently you've angered a fatty with stretch marks.

Not unless the entire portion of the skin is cut off. Stretchmarks aren't just "marks", they're literal rips in the skin that heal pretty much like a cut or any open wound would heal. The scar eventually becomes lighter but it can never go away completely.
