Dive training is not overly strenuous, besides proving you can swim at least 100m there is fuck all exercise involved (mostly theory; besides the initial swim test the only exercise is carrying gear to boat or shore and flapping ya fins). Diving attracts an enormous count of whales, for exactly these reasons especially she-beasts.
They ALWAYS have the latest gear in pink and orange and can tell you every fact about every rock or fish; usually obnoxious know it all's who brag about how little air they used (complete bullshit coz bigger people require more air to oxygenate thier cells thus are always the air-pigs...) "Air pig" is not my term, it's a dive thing....
They ALWAYS also need help hauling back into the boat the fucking fat, heavy, useless, unfit, dangerous and oblivious cunts.
I've been buddied with many strangers over the years including fat arses. Without hesitation I can state the best buddies are newbie's who are keen and knowledgable and watch thier air dial and dive computer fastidiously and don't stray more than a few feet from me thier buddy. They usually are the only peep to do a proper buddy check before the dive too (best among them is usually older teen boys who are fit smart and strong, respect experience, don't argue, and take critique and "man talk" as given, IE: "I'm trying to help u dickhead").
The WORST are she-whales. They always have some of the following traits: From USA (sorry all u seppo's but some of u suck shit badly), New fluro gear, "100's of dives", big mouths, "can you carry this for me?", Camera's, torpedo's, oversize fins, negligent buddy checking procedures (I had one who yelled me coz I checked her buddy reg by blasting a breath thru it to make sure it worked and thereby "wasted" some of her air..), try to swim against the current instead of across or with it and wear themselves out (and out ME in danger coz I had to follow her), fight surges, obliviously ignore air and comp readings, dive deeper than licenced, ignore dive master AND lastly and worstly took my buddy reg so she could use my air to conserve hers!!!!
