Evolution doesn't choose what is best overall. The problem is that we have social welfare programs that allow the stupidest and most inept of us to not only thrive, but to reproduce in greater numbers than those of us who are intelligent and disciplined.

it does not even choose. its throwing crap at the wall and see what sticks, and most of the stuff thrown has no chance in actually making it. its something like 70% of all things that have ever lived did not reproduce. its around 60% of all humans that were alive also did not have children (or children that lived to carry on the genes)

In evolution, there are winners and losers, and it's the winners that evolve. The obeast epidemic aren't the winners. They are just artificially being prevented from losing as swiftly and painfully as they should.

In a way, that's still evolution, but reality can only be denied for so long. They are still losing, and the dwindling rest of us are the winners, FWIW.

This is called dysgenics, it's the inverse to eugenics.
