Ouch. This is why i can't take Euro trash or flannel backs(ha Canadians get it?) seriously when they start with that , muh free healthcare. Nothings free. Someone is paying and it's folks like you and me who actually make a good living that everyone is envious of

It's hard to take anyone seriously who thinks Europe is one single entity and labels it all trash Grab a map sometime, it's actually a series of individual countries. You don't get free healthcare in Europe just because you're part of the EU when you travel, you still need insurance to cover yourself. Surprise, the NHS doesn't cover Europe.

The thing people like you don't get is that when you need medical care, socialised healthcare is there for you, full stop. This means you get in a car accident, have a child or get something like cancer, you will be treated with the full extent of medical care required without being lumped with a debt that frankly is fucking hilarious. Sure, there are people that take the piss. There's people that take the piss regardless in anything, that's just human nature - we're all twats. But when you are fucked to the fucked mate, at least I know I will actually live and not be carted off because "my insurance doesn't cover it". Or, you know, life happens and I lose my job, I won't be lumped with thousands because I tripped and twisted my ankle or something dumb.

Let me see: I have a job, I live in the capital, I don't live at home and I go out a few times a week. Does it feel great to know that if I got shanked outside a London pub I'll be alright? Yeah it does. Do I 'pay' for it? Suppose you gotta look at it like a forward payment, I already paid for it so yeah why not. But chances are if I get something big time that requires a lot of medical treatment, I probably never will pay for it through my taxes. Swings and roundabouts, luck of the draw. Not my fault if you can't understand that.

As soon as it's "free" everybody is going to start using it.
