No one practicing Keto on reddit is doing it for endurance athletics, all of them on that sub are there trying to lose weight. They shouldn’t pretend that the outcome of what they’re doing isn’t to lose weight.
Personally, I don’t know any healthy weight individuals on a Keto diet. They’re all hams. What’s the point of pretending they aren’t doing it to unham?

I know one girl that’s doing keto to get rid of the last round of baby weight. She started keto at 140 lbs, and her goal is around 110 lbs (where she was prepregnancy). She just doesn’t usually tell everyone she meets about it or spam it on her social media daily.
Maybe that’s the difference? Humans don’t need to seek constant validation for making tiny steps, unlike hams.
