Long time lurker here. I am so sick of people using thyroid issues as the reason they can't lose weight! I had thyroid cancer and had to have my thyroid removed (I make zero thyroid hormone as a result). This was nearly 2 years ago, and my hormone levels still aren't optimized I'm way hypothyroid. But, I go to the gym 5-6 per week, and I meal prep and meticulously plan my daily intake. I'm 5'7" and weight 130 lbs. I know situations can be different, but I've been hypothyroid for nearly all my adult life even prior to the cancer diagnosis. Yes, I had to alter how much I could eat each day, but it's still a reasonable daily amount.
