I listened to several episodes out of curiosity and seeking entertainment. I wanted to find things to laugh about but this failed as the podcast shows a deep sadness within fats and not the "I'm here, I'm fat, get over it"-attitude I was expecting. They mostly talk about how awful it is that most plus size clothing lines "only" offer up to size 22, but heavier (...) subjects are discussed. In most episodes one of them talks about "lately feeling insecure in bed". Always lately. Meaning always. How sexual rejection hurts even if it is by someone they have had sex with before and who just isn't feeling like it at the moment.
It made me a little sad. Fighting so hard to be accepted and included while suffering soooooo much from living in a morbidly obese body must be depressing as fuck.
And they say morbid obesity isn't a thing.
They say weight loss surgery is unethical because the complication rate is 4%. They compare this to abortions during first trimester having 0,5% complications. They don't care to mention that weight loss surgery is serious fucking major surgery where your body is cut open whereas abortions mean pills or a scraping.
They talk shit about some guy who wrote a piece about how exercise makes you a more determined and disciplined person. They dismiss it by saying that some gym people don't wipe the equipment after using it...huh?? They considered the piece to be fat shaming.
I could go on about other examples but I'm going to the gym.

I don't think bariatric surgery and abortions are things that should be compared.
