Yes but a 15 year old has very little emotional maturity (generally) and also if its parents are to blame for bad habits and practices, it likely doesn't have a good foundation to lose all that weight immediately at 15. She may realize she's not supposed to be that big, but it would take a while for even a very determined teenager to rectify what their parents did to them.

agreed, i was raised by a hammom and the environment was so toxic it took me moving out at 19 to realize that it wasn't normal or healthy to be the size she had me believe was "my natural frame" bmi is 19 now and guess what? i'm not "big boned" at all! i have a small frame and i'm disgusted at how fat my mom let me be as a kid
