That doesn't make me feel any better. Average comparisons add in shit. I compare myself to the elite. I understand that this makes me look slow and weak, but I am way closer to number 1 than "average."

Compare yourself to high-level athletes, become a high-level athlete. Never settle for less.

See? You get it. Although becoming a top athlete isn't high on my list of expectations the thought process works with everything. Compare myself to top industry professionals, become top industry professional. Compare myself to great dads/husbands, become great dad/husband.

Comparing oneself to shit only allows one to feel better than shit, which I think leads to low motivation to improve. I may not be the best at life, but I should still try.
