I can't stand when people say shit like "theres so many other things you could do besides work out." How hard is it for people to understand that you can be healthy AND have various other hobbies and interests? What a dumb fucking comic.
[–] EarlPoncho 0 points 14 points 14 points (+14|-0) ago
seriously. ive read 85 books this year and work out nearly every day. this one or the other is lazy, beta mentality
[–] csicskageci ago
I find that by working out 45 minutes, I already save 30 minutes by falling asleep practically instantly, instead of rolling around in the bed for 30 minutes. Replacing breakfast with a protein shake also saves time, because meal preparation while sleepy is slooow.
But what makes the argument of the comics truly terrible is TV watching statistics.

I can stay fit by going backpacking through amazing new places and meeting other fit, active people who are doing the same thing.
This guy probably stays inside reading wikipedia articles and arguing with strangers over Buzzfeed articles on facebook, claims to be "enriching" his mind rather than his body.

Being fit builds your confidence and energy levels. People are drawn to that, so, you make more friends, you do more stuff, you live an interesting life. This fat is retarted and reeking of jealousy.

Hell it straight up makes you smarter. Read Spark by John J. Ratey. Or something comparable.

I enjoy working out. And, it only takes 1.5-2 hours out of the day. Plenty of time left for other shit.

not to mention its not impossible to audio book while working out.
oh what to them does that not count?
[–] shadow332 [S] 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
No you don't. You're just doing it and starving yourself by eating 3 meals a day because the diet and fitness industry told you to!!!! /s

Because playing video games, scrolling through facebook, and stuffing your face all day makes you refined and interesting. Got it.

Yea because lifting for 4-5 hours a week (go hard, don't lolly gag when you are there) is really time consuming. The jealousy is real. They know that if they had any discipline they could look like that guy.
Why do so many fats think it takes 20 hours a week in the gym to get buff? Probably because whenever I seem them in the gym they walk at 2.5 mph for 20 minutes then spend 5 minutes in between their shitty half assed sets.

And I also especially like the assumption he makes that we don't actually enjoy it.
[–] darthbrodin 0 points 7 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago
I listen to audio books in my iron temple... just sayin.
[–] Plavonica ago
Home gym + audio books or podcasts works really well. I can even get a bit of reading done with my e-book and the bike machine.

I need to tell people how much I don't care about what they think! That will show them

It's crazy because I definitely watch movies while doing calisthenics. It's not like I really need to pay much attention to anything other than counting and it makes the time go by more quickly. And I listen to music when I run for the same reason.
I'm not missing out on anything. People watch themselves when they lift to monitor their form but they can also listen to music and audiobooks. I guess since they've never given exercise a chance they wouldn't know this.

Body positivity, don't shame people for how they look, don't make assumptions about their lifestyle just based on their appearance... unless they're fit, then they're probably stupid, boring, jerks.
