Much like many creatures, they have adapted to blend into their natural habitat. However, while camouflage usually protects against predators, fats have evolved camouflage even though it poses no resistance to diabetes.

Curiously, the processes which guide evolution in living organisms are one of the more commonly overlooked areas that are affected by the excessive adiposity that one will most commonly observe in the fat. Instead of developing the capability to lessen the effect of its deadliest natural predator, diabetes, it has instead managed to somehow turn its visual camouflage into a catalyst for insulin resistance. Research is still on-going as to how this befuddling characteristic came to be and precisely what the tangible processes associated with it are.

Camouflage, if no one can see you, the calories don't count - right?

Helps the fat break its silhouette and hide how large its 'form' truly is.
