She includes a picture of a former anorexic...obesity is not the healthy recovery to anorexia! It's just the Bizzaro universe version!

A lot of ex-anorexics seem to "recover" into fats for some reason. I blame all-or-nothing type think - "either I gorge myself silly...or I don't eat." The media encourages this mindset forever talking about 'skinny airbrushed Waifs' vs 'women who eat' and completely discount the idea of a skinny-yet-healthy woman who likes eating, just in moderation.

Well maybe the reason that you’re uncomfortable when you look at more diverse body types, PAL, is because of the insufficient representation of these in the media. If you don’t see something very often, it could very well make you uncomfortable when you see it every once in awhile

Are you shitting me?

The reason I find fats so disgusting is because they are EVERYWHERE. I don't need to see them on the TV or in films because you can't walk in public without having your eyes assaulted by a herd of chubsters and beetus-dumpsters.

Well the fast food industry has grown larger than the diet industry. Obesity has also skyrocketed as fat normalisation has become more common. You left those little "fafacts" out. Ignoring the other disproven shit about the obesity paradox, fatty here is missing the point of fat shaming. Fat shaming admittedly does not cause instant weight loss 100% of the time. But uaing that to argue against it is based on the inevitability of there being fat people. The actual use for shaming is a prevention, not a cure. Ingrain in children that fat is bad and they won't gain in the first place. Now this only has a few million years of proof of effectiveness so I understand your scepticism, but I think it is worth a go anyway.

Self-diagnosed anorexia is all the rage with these delusional obeasts. Yet no photos exist of the allegedly anorexic years, so they post a picture of someone else to prove...something.

Also, obesity is completely normalized in America already. From the 3X to 5X clothing sizes, to the larger car seat sizes (and all the extra cup holders), to the scootypuffs available at retail locations, to stairs being hidden to make room for elevators and escalators. Body positivity is about rationalizing current obesity not about promoting it for the future.

I read- 'since I recovered from an eating disorder, I now bestow upon myself the right to dictate how others feel/think about their bodies.'
