First time poster, but I have got to vent about a former (human) friend and this seemed like the best place.
Short story: former HS friend had cancer 4 times - as a kid, as a teen, as a young adult (now is 31). People had fundraisers, he got two different kidneys, etc. Had recurrences, beat them all. So you know, a feel good story. Well, we're still FB "friends" and all his posts are just really excessive food and/or booze pics. Food like copious amounts of pasta, cheese, meat, etc. - you know the kinds. Drinks to excess (with a donor kidney, no less). Saw a recent pic and, wouldn't you know it - he's fat now. He also constantly posts how happy he is to be alive and how much he owes the people who supported him, donated to him (including the two who gave him the KIDNEYS), etc. But it pisses me off because, well, he's gotten SO MANY chances and this s how he chooses to use his life now - shoveling in the food and booze and growing in girth? So many people don't get a 2nd chance - he's on his 4th and does this? I'm at the point where I kind of can't stand to see posts from him because I want to just blast him for wasting what should be a precious gift and instead becoming a glutton. Two people gave this genius organs from their own bodies so what, he can smother them under a wall of fat? How many cancer patients don't get this kind of care? I suppressed these thoughts for so long for fear of them making me a "bad person" for thinking he's an example of care being wasted, but I'm reaching the point of not caring anymore and wanting to say something.
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent and say my piece here, because lord knows I can't say it any place else.

That's how I feel. With this guy, his first donor was his mother when he was younger. That kidney failed after a few years for reasons I don't know. They then did ads looking for another donor, since I guess nobody else in his family matched. Like, they featured him on our local news and everything. And a STRANGER donated the next one. It was a guy who had served in the military and wanted to "continue a life of service" as he put it, and he was just moved by this kid with cancer and wanted to help and he gave him a kidney. It was really amazing - but that increases my anger now, because this saintly guy did this and the recipient just wants to eat and drink his life away and waste the gift. Dude should have held onto it for somebody who would appreciate his sacrifice.

Sounds like now that he's cured of cancer he wants another crutch to lean on to still get attention, pity, and free favors.
Exactly what a lot of piggies do since they have no other qualities to make anyone love or even like them.
