I recall reading US statistics on here once that approximately 1000 people die from anorexia every year. Obesity is now the top killer, even more than smoking or alcohol, with more than 300,000 deaths per year

Pretty close to the same amount of people who are deaf. And you'll never see a business make massive policy changes to ensure that staff never just start talking to people under an assumption that they can hear.

Even Starbucks, who teaches staff ASL signs, still talks using their mouths to customers.
Though I guess with fat people the "stop ass-uming things! you can't tell I'm different!" argument doesn't apply, cause, well, just LOOK at them.

The high-end estimate which there is plenty of reason to doubt has the number of AN at 100,000 to 250,000. These fat asses only use AN to move the target off of their disordered grazing.
