My kids are younger (2 & 4), but my rule is going to be that they have to do at least 1 physical extracurricular activity. We're starting with my son this year and my daughter next year. It can be an activity of their choosing - dance, martial arts, soccer, t-ball, whatever! - as long as it's something that gets them moving! (And they must finish the season of whatever they start, no quitting halfway through.)

I was a dancer too! (Ballet/pointe, tap including Irish, jazz, lyrical) From age 3 until my sophomore year of college. I really hope my daughter loves dance as much as I did, I plan to start her next year. :)

Omg that is so great. A) giving them a wide variety of choices makes it seem like a hobby rather than a chore; B) they're so young that once they get used to the regularity/habit, they'll learn to love it on their own; and c) I assume that you mean if they don't complete the season they'll have to start from scratch the next year - worst case they regret their decision, but 90% of the time active kids want to continue in sports, so they'd migrate to another. Best case they become addicted and become regular little shitlords! :)

"No quitting halfway through" and "activity of their choosing" omg so much this. My fat mom threw me into like 6 different sports / classes when I was a kid and like "gee I didn't choose this and you don't even care if I do any progress." I hope to be more like you as a mom one day in the future. (I'm 22.)

Hams hate hearing about fasting since it forces them to remember how little control they have over their ability to not shovel food into their greasy mouths 24/7. The result? Shame anyone who does it!

Fasting is actually good for you (when done consciously and healthfully, as I'm sure OP is doing). Fasting == starving, as any sane person is fully aware.

I think you forgot a " | " in there :)

For sure, the autophagy effects have been shown to be extremely healthy alone! That's one reason why I practice intermittent fasting everyday.

Best thing is, it's not even hard ..??!? I usually skip breakfast, and a) if I've eaten a big dinner [per usual] I'm totally fine; b) I eat a small bkfst, ie a couple cheese sticks or yogurts; or c) I'm super tired or hungover lmfao so I'll eat a fatty feast in the morning, but I'm somehow sane enough to eat normally the rest of the day. Also I lift very often. But #HAES ???

People just put their kids in front of screens with food 24/7 these days. The only interactions they have with them are taking/picking them up from school if they don't ride the bus or walk (walking when fat lol) or any "activity" that will allow them to get food such as going to Target/Walmart or going out to eat. I always feel bad seeing fat kids and looking at their parents knowing they will be like them. Feeding your kids shit food and too much food is fucking child abuse. Starving, beating, neglect, drug and alcohol are all abuse but when it comes to obesity everyone turns a blind eye. It's sickening.
I fast too sometimes. It's a trigger word for fatties. You're not only telling them you're making an effort to not eat but that you are also practicing self control, which is something they lack. Lol at "Why I do stuff like that" Bitch you know damn well why she does it. SO SHES NOT AFAT ASSS LIKE YOU LOLOLOL

Definitely agree on the contact part. Parents don't have excuses anymore as fewer people are smoking and drinking around their kids. My parents were pretty bad with alcohol when I was a kid and never spent time with them. Now as I'm getting older my mom has been trying to make it up to me. She went to rehab when I was 10 and she has been a completely better mom for 5 years

There's no excuse for anything anymore. We have an infinite amount of information at our fingertips 24/7 and things like fat people still exist. It's down right embarrassing that there's so many fat fucks this day and age when you can just look up shit like "daily calorie intake" or some shit and get the answer instantly. On a side note, good for your mom. It's never to late to change and be a better person.

I feel bad for my older siblings because the dad they remember needed to be picked up because he was drunk again. By the time I came along he was sober. One of my siblings is an alcoholic, I don't doubt it started with my dad's example. I hate fat people but I hate them more for being liars. Fat people used to have to own up to their shit because everyone knew better. Somebody would've said something if they were off feeding them cake all day. Now everyone is fat, so let's just forget to ever bother eating a vegetable?

Those kids are probably fidgeting so much because their diets consist mainly of sugar and processed garbage. That junk isn't good for a growing body or mind.
And as a fit mom, I am so sick of how the general (read: fat) public think that if I'm taking care of my own health and body, then I must be neglecting my son. Just because I prioritize eating right and exercising over take-out and sitting around on my ass, it doesn't mean I'm vain or that my son doesn't get the love and care he deserves. But it's always extremes with fats; they can't comprehend that you can care for your child and yourself. They try to make themselves look like martyrs and blame their garbage pile bodies on their kids.

Healthy happy mom = healthy happy kids! You are setting a great example. They just peanut butter and jelly because them and their piggies are all tubbos.

It must be infuriating to be judged on your parental skills for doing things for yourself (I don't have children so I don't have to deal with this). I can only assume fats act like this so when you point out their lack of self-care they can claim "HURR DURR I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT I SPEND ALL MY TIME TAKING CARE OF MUH KIDS munch munch MUH KIDS COME FIRST!!"
Yeah as if taking 1 hour out of the day for yourself = neglecting your children.
They are so retarded though that their opinions about what we do should matter to us about as much as the opinions of an amoeba. Other humans know you're doing the right thing. The opinions of non-humans don't matter.
[–] theepilepticferret 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
That's exactly why they do it, so they can blame their fatness on being such a great mom that they don't even have time to cook from scratch or exercise!
In reality, I go to the gym for about 90 minutes each night with my husband, and baby comes too. They have a fantastic child-minding program where he gets to interact and socialize with different kids, which is good because he's an only child. And then I might spend 1 morning a week prepping and freezing meals with my mom. So it's not this crazy amount of time that hams make it out to be. They just like having an excuse.

Yeah it's awful. The norm should be a small or medium build such as Sissy Spacek from when she was in Carrie, or Chloe Graze Moretz. I look around in my locker rooms and I'm utterly disappointed by the lack of normal girls. They all think it's normal to have muffin tops or fat on their stomachs. You used to be ridiculed for that kind of stuff in elementary and middle school. What's even worse is that these girls are even seen as popular like this. I miss the good ol days when only humans were popular and it wasn't natural to weight 10+ pounds your normal weight.

As a teenager I had a 22.9 BMI and I remember my best friend shitlording me often. My grandma told me I was getting chunky, my boyfriend said I was the biggest girl he'd ever gone out with. Half a lifetime later that's practically a hate crime. Clearly all this "let's not talk about it" nonsense is working out for everyone. I seriously wonder if I'll have CPS called on me by the time my kids are grown just for not being obese.

Remind me to buy stock in companies that make insulin.

You go, girl!
I'd take a muscular lithe form over a cheese ball any day!
