I don't have an answer, but I can tell you this: Had never been to the midwest or Florida until I had a kid and took her to Disney World. It was my first experience being traumatized by hams' size. Hadn't seen it before in CA. Not like that. Sure--had seen fats. Just not galaxies. Also watched people be turned away from rides due to size. Astounding. (My kid cried when three uber fats boarded a ride with us--was terrified it would derail.)

Oh god, that's really frightening.

I'll gladly be teaching my daughter to be very afraid of fats. Fats are dangerous to others.
