That's what gets me when FAs bitch how smokers aren't 'shamed.' It's like dude they can't smoke in most public places, they get sequestered to little zones most times, they see how people visually react if they walk by and smell the smoke, they are shamed plenty. The thing is, you won't find any sane smoker who boast how they are so healthy even if they smoke, or how smoking isn't bad etc.

To be fair smokers still have various unfair advantages in society, perhaps the most prevalent one is "muh you can't discriminate against muh addiction/disease requiring me to take smoke breaks all the time at work".

I know this is a fat hate sub, but smoking is literally cancer and should be treated as such. I'm not really a fan of government regulations, but if there was any reason smoking would basically be illegal anywhere in public. Atleast fat consequences doesn't spread through the air.

I don't know the places that you've worked, but I certainly wouldn't have a job if I took any more breaks than anyone else is allowed. Sometimes I even have to skip them if there's an emergency. That's just part of being employed.

And if you don't think fat consequences spread through the air, you've obviously never sat downwind from one.

Oh, I agree. It just grinds my gears that they think they are the only oppressed group when we talk about things that effect your health.
