I'm quite left and green minded and don't get why those kind of people DON'T hate on fats. They fuck up the whole system by using far more ressources than they would need. I'm not only talking about food, they are ruining so much more like healthcare... Look at the UK where the NHS already struggles and openly admits that they have finincial problems because they have to keep fatties alive that are trying to kill themselves with food.

I'm the biggest fucking hippie and I hate on fats. There are dozens of us.

You would think any hippie/eco-minded person would hate fats for the insane amount of resources they consume while contributing absolutely nothing back to society but their rotten stench.

[–] Runaway-White-Slave 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Not exactly a "hippie", but I go through life with the munchies like a motherfucker, weigh exactly what I'm supposed to, and can't stand a fat-fuck.

OP is right, it doesn't take a lot of money to forgo the butter-sicle and buy some damn fresh fruit or vegetables. Or get off your fat-privileged ass and take leisurely strolls around the block until maybe one day you can jog if that's what you're missing.

Add me to the list. The last time I was smoking up with my good friends I made realization they all need a workout regiment. Every time they get the munchies they are plowing down the junk so I started bringing vegetables to our gatherings not junk. Now they poke fun of me like I'm the one with the problem.

As a left leaning American I tend to think that national healthcare will have to exclude fats to be solvent.

0
9

[–] Merediana 0 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago

Would it still be national healthcare if it excludes way more than half of all americans? ;) I do get your point but the sad thing is - they already are the majority so from a political point of view such a healthcare system would be pointless. But maybe they could exclude self induced illnesses like type 2 diabetes...

Since fatties aren't a protected class, what if we make a thin-only insurance with a maximum BMI? Or will that fall under "pre-existing condishuns"

[–] EarthquakesAreScary 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

I think if you actually totaled up the amount of people on the left or right who walked the walk of their ideology it'd be pretty low. Like around 10% of the total political party level low. Most people treat their politics a bit like they treat religion. It's used to justify behavior that they've already decided on, not as a path to actually guide them to better behavior.

[–] Merediana 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Well, that's for sure. Most people do support stuff that they despise in theory, that's just the way humans are. Plus it doesn't mean anything for who you voted, my region usually always votes for the social democratic party of my country - just because that's what you vote here and what your parents voted for. And many of those voters are quite conservative and rather right minded. And lets not forget protest votes, we even have a party for protest voters that was founded by a satire magazine and gets like 1-2% of votes.

Because there are too many fats that align themselves with the left.

I've never met a self styled communist or socialist that isn't a porker. Hilarious, because they would be the first to go.

All fats do is consume, consume and consume some more. You'd think lefties would be against porkers that do nothing but depend on corporations to live.

I'd guess you're probably not looking in the right places though. I used to live in a commune and we didn't have even one fat person there. At the same time, we lived pretty far out from civilization so that we'd have land to grow some of our food. It's a bit similar to assuming any cowboy type is fat because everyone who adopts that fashion in the city is. Both groups depend on being able to work the land, and both mostly only really exist at the outskirts of a city or town.

I advocate for communist ideologies and have a bmi of 17.6 so take that as you will. I think libertarians fall into one of two groups, fat old guys who are disgruntled and hard working young twenties guys, while I see the opposite in leftists, I.e. Old skinny Far left and the fat far left tumblrs. In general I find my libertarian friends to be more active in all aspects in life than my socialist friends. I personally don't believe that we should be working this hard in the first place, but not in a fat logic way where people should have to provide for my fat ass, more like if I don't want to improve my hut for the night that's ok I will just have to suffer and be cold. So I think that's where some of the disconnect I see at least between my right friends and me come from. In my opinion being healthy should be a normal part of life because the consequences should hit you directly, not some kid in Africa starving because you eat too much. Not to say I don't work hard and don't contribute to society, I just try and be self sufficient as possible so that way when I decide to be lazy I am hurting no one but myself.

Here are some things you can do for free that don't require you to have any equipment:

  • stretching

  • jogging

  • loads of bodyweight exercises (not all of them but a lot - if you have a park with pullup bars or even a tree nearby, that'll do)

  • eating healthy

That probably doesn't yield you a swolebro body but it'll be more than enough to stay in shape.

I used to use gallon milk jugs full of water for weights. Some people just need to quit complaining and get creative.

If you take calisthenics seriously you wont get swole but you will get shredded up, and your shoulders and abs will look like a Greek god's.

I had a "swolebro" body even before I started lifting. It was through a combination of body weight exercises, martial arts, and a high protein diet.

doyogawithme.com (do yoga with me). It's an awesome site. You can set parameters for length, difficulty, focus, and a few others, and no matter what combo you choose, you still get presented with a few options. The only downside is you can't cast the videos to chromecast. You can still cast the tab, but I'm not a big of casting tabs.

But the point is that you don't even have to pay $10-20 a month to not be fat. Even that would only be an excuse for a piece of fat to shift blame away from itself. As OP said in the post, eating less is free.

The pigs already blame their fatassness on lack of time, lack of money, lack of pretty clothes, lack of safe spaces, etc. Now it's capitalism that makes them fat. Totally not their fault, as always.

As OP said in the post, eating less is free.

I suspect a whole lot of their diets wouldn't scale. Know how junk food often has something like 1% of any given nutrient? Horrible as it might be, I think many of them only get by because their diet consists of 100 or so servings of almost empty calories a day and the occasional bit of real food.

Saying they should eat less gives them way too much credit for their food choices. In that I really do think most of them aren't living on what most people would consider actual food.

It's mainly for the access to weights. I do most of my cardio outside with my god damned feet.

[–] EatingSteak 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Or Crunch, or Anytime, or (if you're legitimately poor via subsidies) the YMCA, or Healthways or Silver Sneakers if you qualify...

There are at least a dozen options for less than $20/month. Fucking, around here you can join the Cincinnati Rec Center for $30/year.

Excuses excuses. If you look hard enough, you'll find one somewhere

Well in the Philly area PF is the cheapest last I checked around. And unfortunately when I'm on contract my yearly income boosts me over any subsidies or free options.

i am a poor bastard. i just spent 10€ on fruits and peanuts that will last me as snacks for the rest of the week. i know from experience that 10€ worth of snickers, chips or any kind of sweets would have lasted for maybe 2 days, and would have made me hungrier instead of satiated.

If you can afford or have access to the internet yoy have zero excuses being fat.

Eating less (even if its shit food) is free. Running is free. (No need for fancy workout gear) YouTube workouts are free. Facts and science, also free.

But you know, that takes effort and bad fee fees.

The people complaining about this stuff always have the newest iPhone and sit around streaming Netflix all night after work on their $400 console onto some ginormous TV. Probably drive to work one mile away.

Assholes like this need to be dumped in a starving village so they can tell them how they can't give up that extra Doritos taco or whatever other orange cheese powder monstrosity they live on.

Most people are lazy and weak as fuck. They can't bear to endure a tiny bit of unpleasantness or discomfort every day as an investment in long term physical and mental health. They would rather overindulge and feed their appetites to the max and be disgusting, and then demand that everyone just accept their lame excuses and the consequences of their terrible lifestyle.

The thing about fat leftists/progressives (that they don't even realize about themselves) is that they believe it's important to sound smart rather than be smart. Hence that fat-ass's long-winded, big-worded rant about wealth and capitalism, just to make excuses for being a fat fuck.
