Seems like the UK is the only place doing shit about obesity. In American all we have is my 600 lb life and some other atrocious TLC shows, but in UK they have like 8 different shows about obesity. I want to watch an American version of Supersize vs. Superskinny where fat people are super triggered by anorexic people.

I'd like to agree. But it's all superficial. A whole night of cancer awareness, not one mention of obesity. We also had a bake sale for cancer. Says it all.

The obesity post mortem was hidden away online instead of front and centre. Diabetes awareness programme recently but more emphasis on fruit and veg consumption rather than weight. Idiots just think they need a few more apples and that'll do.

We had a childhood obesity policy announcement. Prime minister bottled it, weak af.

It's having almost zero impact. Capitalism rules!

To be fair the obesity autopsy was on BBC 3 which is all online now. My town has posters everywhere on the buses to say people should get off the bus one stop earlier and walk that extra distance. We do have the traffic light stuff on foods to raise awareness of what we're eating and in general it has worked to an extent. The five a day campaign was good too, although it changed to 7 at which point we all just got fed up. There's definitely not zero impact, it's just slow change.
