I read the first paragraph and thought to myself "The moms a hambeast most likely". What confirmed it for me wasn't where the mom outright admitted she was a fat pig, rather it was the paragraph or two before it where she spoke to the teacher and tried to ensure that the fat-shaming wouldn't happen again. Teachers are largely outnumbered by students, and they can't police their every thought (especially at that age when children don't really have a filter yet), the most the teacher can do is say *"Now Timmy, calling Hamgelina a landwhale isn't a very nice thing to do" even if it is true. If the piggered mother wants someone to be angry with, it should be herself for fucking up her child and causing her a lifetime of pain and rejection, not the teacher for failing to silence every child with eyes.

Shit like this makes me rage internally. Nobody, well.... most people, don't take responsibility for their actions anymore. It's always everyone else's fault, even when that's clearly not the case. With everything we know about obesity these days and it's direct negative correlation to good health, it's mind boggling to me that articles like this even exist. It's basically saying "We know you're destroying your body, the one vessel you have for the rest of your life, but how dare anybody bring up what I already know because it hurts muh feelz." It's insane, and perhaps if more people "fat shamed" like we used to, maybe, just maybe we wouldn't have an obesity epidemic on our hands. But no, fuck that because we want everyone to be happy while they pull the trigger and blow their brains out. We're just expected to pick up the slack and clean up the mess.
