"Alterations can be expensive AF" spoken like someone who knows NOTHING about sizing.

I had to go up 3 sizes for my own wedding dress to get the length I needed and then have everything taken in. With a fat, nothing is where it's supposed to be. Darts are needed around the bust because their stomachs are usually bigger.... the length on larger sizes is longer because designers know that normal, larger- not fat- women are taller. So being a fat bride, now you have the length to take off, which most dresses you can't hack off the bottom- it has to come off at the hips/waist. Which is expensive!! And I have watched seamstresses let out dresses days before a wedding that were downright miracles. Adding panels, corset backs... because the bride was "treating" herself before her big day.
