Seriously? The argument is "How can it be false if the media says it's true?" Because the media has never lied, right? Nothing that was incorrect was ever popular, right? Just because a lot of people believe something doesn't mean it's true.

Agreed. But I've been trying to pay close attention to this in main stream media lately and she is wrong. From what I've noticed from "honest" media sources, is they don't promote fat acceptance as much as they actually try to shame the "fat shamers". It's a strange, subtle distinction I've noticed from oulets that aren't the worthless BuzzFeed types. It's cringe worthy and still pisses me off because it tacitly condones fat acceptance and these fat idiots eat it up.

The media exists to entertain and generate money. Fats are the majority, therefore money is made by telling them what they want to hear. It really is as simple as that.
