Haha. It really is! The first day of school (last week) I came in wearing my normal scrub pants, a belly band to cover my ass crack because the pants don't pull up to my waist anymore, and a cute non-maternity stretchy sweater. The other nurse that I sat with last year (about 200 lbs) was wearing these super tight maternity jeans. She told me she's 3 months pregnant. During the day the thighs on each side of her pants proceed to split open. She tried to go to the bathroom and put the belly band of her pants down the inside so it covered her skin, but it didn't really work. Plus then her underwear were sticking out the top. She was so uncomfortable, and I'm sure it was hard for her to sit there next to my cute little bump. She should just break down and get a tarp. By the end of the day she was almost in tears from trying to unsuccessfully readjust all day. Plus we have to get on the floor with our patients a lot. That's hard enough without having wardrobe malfunctions.
