The fight against obesity is something I'm very passionate about. And it might be easy to fix. I don't understand why we haven't implemented nutrition courses in free public middle school. Especially in the remedial classes i.e. The people who have failed and are in the stupid classes.
I also don't understand why we no longer have cooking courses and the like. Most of the fats arguments against us come from a place of uneducation and ignorance. For example, "healthy food is too expensive". We all know it isn't because we have a high enough IQ to look it up and do math. These courses could show adolescents the proper amount of nutrition they need to be their best, how to cook satisfying easy meals that aren't McDonald's, and how much all of it costs. To grade the course the students would have to keep a food journal and their body progress would be tracked throughout the year. If there were slip ups the teacher would meet with them and explain how exercise plays a role, how metabolisms work, and how continuing the lifestyle will have negative effects.
We have sex Ed. We used to have D.A.R.E. Why don't we have something like this?

Careful what you wish for shitlord. Any standardized public school program will be turned into some bullshit political game.
Sex ed introduced -> promptly turned into abstinence only despite irrefutable objective evidence that clearly showed reality based sex ed is much more beneficial
D.A.R.E. introduced -> okay well dare was just shit from the start and remained shitty. It was a political tactic deployed to make it seem like the war on drugs wasn't a waste of trillions of dollars lol. I'm pretty sure it's still used by some schools, again this is despite irrefutable objective evidence that the program increases drug use.
You can bet your skinny healthy ass the food giants would be lining some politicians pockets to make sure sugary cereal and beetusjuice is included in the curriculum as healthy options.
